LA County Courts to Reassign Judges Over the Next Few Months
The Family Law Division of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County recently announced changes to courtroom operations. A copy of these changes can be reviewed in the Notice To Attorneys dated February 17, 2021. These changes will occur on varying dates between February and April.
The reassigned judges include:
- Judge Colin Leis of Department 41 at the Stanley Most Courthouse, who will move to the Civil Division. Matters on calendar in this department will be reassigned by order of the Supervising Judge of the Family Law Division.
- Judge Gary D. Roberts of Department 87 at the Stanley Most Courthouse, who will move to Department Y of the Van Nuys Courthouse, located at 6230 Sylmar Avenue in Van Nuys. According to the Notice, Department Y will operate as a settlement department.
- Judge Amy M. Pellman will be reassigned to Department 87 at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse. At this time, cases on calendar in Department 87 shall remain scheduled on the dates and times scheduled and will be assigned to Judge Pellman as of February 22nd.
- Judge Joshua D. Wayser from Department 60 at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse, who will move to Department E at the Santa Monica Courthouse located at 1725 Main Street in Santa Monica. All matters previously assigned to Judge Wayser in Department 60 will remain assigned to him in Department E.
- Judge Bruce G. Iwasaki is reassigned from Department 46 to Department 23 at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse. Matters previously assigned to Judge Iwasaki in Department 46 will remain assigned to him in Department 23.
